Homesteading: Sprouting Sprouts

I have started to purchase broccoli sprouts and other various sprouts to put on most of our daily lunches but then I started hearing how easy and cheap it was to just sprout them yourself! So, why not try? I purchased a pack of two sprouting lids the fit on wide mouth mason jars and a bag of broccoli sprouting seeds.

As of 3/4/22 the first batch of seeds are soaking and will be rinsed in the morning. I read that I am to just drain them tomorrow morning then rinse and drain them twice a day until I'm ready to eat them.

The sprouting is supposed to be quite quick and we should have our own sprouts to eat in a few days.

My plan is to always have batches going so as we finish a batch, we can start on the waiting one while I start a new batch. And cycle through just like that. We'll see if it works out like I'm hoping. Fingers crossed! Will keep you posted. :)

Anyone have any tips or tricks? What has your experience been? Anything else I should consider doing similar to this?
