Handmade: Dish Cloths
I happened to watch a video on Youtube of someone cleaning their kitchen--I know, I'm weird, lol--and they were using a dish cloth that was pretty and looked handmade. It piqued my interest and I decided to make my own. This is a theme you will notice a lot in my posts and in my life where I see something I like and then make it myself :P
I make commission shawls and if someone doesn't want alpaca, I will use a wonderful cotton yarn I found at my local yarn store. I happened to have some left over from a few of the shawls so decided to knit up a few of these dish cloths. It is just a simple garter stitch pattern and was a great mindless project. They have been fantastic to wipe up the kitchen sink as our faucet splashes water Ev-er-y-where...
I have decided that as my old rags get torn up or too dirty to be effective, I will replace them with handmade ones from now on as these bring me so much more joy!
I tested out a couple wash cloths as well and think I will do some in white to keep in our bathroom. I'll post those when I have a simple set complete.
